Macklemore speaks at the opening night of his ‘Free Palestine Tour’ in Dublin:
“Those two words [Free Palestine] are so threatening to some people. They would rather silence those two words than confront what they actually mean. Freedom that requires another person’s oppression isn’t freedom at all.”

Hozier called on the Irish government to approve visa applications for students in Gaza during a surprise appearance at the first show of Macklemore’s “Free Palestine” tour:
“55 students in Gaza who are awaiting for their visas to be approved for scholarship places they earned and are waiting for them here in Ireland. And the government has no approved their visa applications… It’s baffling why it hasn’t been solved yet, but if you want to sign a petition, there it is behind me on the screen.”

To be clear, the only reason I was able to reach Heidi was because young Palestinians provided cover with rocks against machine-gun- and tear-gas-wielding settlers and soldiers. It’s those kids, not the settler terrorists, who the IDF was hunting after the attack.

I don't care if you like Sally Rooney's books or not. This is about the UK effectively banning an author's work because she is vocal in her support for the Palestinian people. I don't care whether you personally like her. Nor should you. It's about censorship. It's unhinged.

we're told this movement isn't racist, yet we're repeatedly presented with evidence of vile, racist abuse.
the fact that mps are willing to support and excuse this behaviour is sickening and shows how far the normalisation of racism has gone in this country.
