Kentucky is taking down FLOCK! Great job @KaceeRAllen ... "Southgate, Kentucky just voted 3-2 to cover/suspend their Flock cameras. A couple weeks ago I showed the two Flock cameras at Canterbury Apartments in Southgate—within about 100 feet of each other. One logs everyone who enters the community; the other sits inside already aimed at the residences. Pull in once, get scanned twice. That’s not “public safety,” it’s a tracking grid on people going home"

Big win for Dayton, Minnesota canceling its flock contract. solana:FaL1PFQhNo4JAGaQKSnKurWeNtpexqEAduQjR4H6pump mindshare spreading rapidly, don’t get left behind 👁️🐦

Dayton, Minnesota canceled its Flock contract and explicitly told the company no work orders were to be completed. Flock reinstalled two cameras anyway and put them back into service without authorization. The city discovered it, notified police, and is removing both. This keeps happening—cities vote to end the program, Flock ignores them and reactivates or reinstalls the cameras.

Flock ceo ( @glangley ) told a room full of cops that the backlash against ALPRs are mostly Russian bots. If they’re Russian bots then explain the 200+ cities that have already removed flock cameras and the regular citizens who keeping spotting and mapping them. bots aren’t canceling contracts; solana:FaL1PFQhNo4JAGaQKSnKurWeNtpexqEAduQjR4H6pump is NOT going away 👁️🐦
