Stablecoins are increasingly being spent by card swipe.
Crypto payment cards have gone from a novelty to more than $750 million in monthly spend. These cards let people pay with crypto anywhere traditional card networks are accepted. Behind the scenes, the crypto — stablecoins, overwhelmingly — gets converted to local currency at the point of sale, so the payments look like any other card transactions to merchants.
Crypto cardholders don’t require a traditional bank account. Depending on the program, users either deposit stablecoins with a card issuer, or hold them directly onchain through self-custody. Crypto cards expand people’s access to U.S. dollar accounts globally, and they offer a convenient way for stablecoin holders to transact.

Chaired a meeting regarding the draft of 'The Maharashtra Digitisation and Exchange of Land Token Asset Act (DELTA Act)' in Mumbai, today.
As Maharashtra moves towards achieving the goal of becoming a US$1 trillion economy by 2030, developing new sources of revenue will play a key role in this journey. Directed officials to propose the DELTA Act to unlock and harness the latent value embedded in immovable properties for public benefit. Also directed officials to constitute an expert committee comprising representatives from SEBI, BSE, NSE, along with experienced professionals and domain experts, to prepare a comprehensive legislative framework.
Property tokenisation is emerging globally as a means of creating new revenue opportunities while enhancing the value of land and real estate assets. Under the proposed framework, immovable properties will be tokenised using blockchain technology. The entire ecosystem will function through a fully digital blockchain enabled framework, with transactions carried out through tokens linked to the value of immovable properties. Directed officials to study global laws, regulations and best practices so that Maharashtra becomes the first State in India to introduce legislation of this nature.
Continuing Maharashtra's legacy of bold policy reforms, the proposed DELTA Act will set a new benchmark in governance and policy innovation.
