I told someone I’m from Edo State and they said, “Wow, a daughter of the red sand.” Omo, why did that make me so happy? 😭
Yes oh A daughter of the red soil, the land of great kings and queens, the home of the ancient Benin Kingdom, the pride of the Great Benin Empire. A daughter of the land of bronze, beauty, culture, royalty and history.
Always proud to be an Edo girl. Oba gha tó kpè re ❤️
I will leave this here for my "Edo South" Brothers to reboot their thinking from tribal identity to National Identity.

You are my sister so I will enlighten you, Benin Kingdom Restoration is inevitable we aren't secessionist and we can have a sovereign Benin within Nigeria like Monaco is to France and Vatican is to Italy so no need to worry about the Nigeria wazobia government.

Benin Kingdom abolished slave trade officially in 16th century and tou should note that The Kingdom of Benin was a country with ambassadors in Europe and not part of "tribes" that made up the present day Nigeria.
Indeed, Benin nor small
Main source is A.F.C. Ryder, Benin and the Europeans 1485-1897 (Longman, 1969), drawing on Portuguese archives (Torre do Tombo Corpo Cronologico papers). It details the ~1516 male-slave export curbs via separate markets, later full embargo into the 1600s, and the 1514 embassy (Dom Jorge/Antonio) to King Manuel. Duarte Pires’ 20 Oct 1516 letter (in Blake, Europeans in West Africa) describes the court under the Oba. 1897 British conquest appears in Admiralty/Colonial Office reports.
Here
The Kingdom of Benin (Edo people, modern southern Nigeria) restricted male slave exports around 1516 to keep manpower for its army; females and war captives were still traded at times, but it avoided large-scale Atlantic slaving unlike neighboring areas. Domestic slavery continued. It was a centralized kingdom, not a tribe, and sent ambassadors to Portugal under Oba Esigie in the early 1500s. British conquest in 1897 folded it into colonial Nigeria.

😂😂 Israel is almost the same size as Edo State, hope you know? They are dealing with your terrorist brothers effortlessly. The fewer we are, the more strategic we are. We can easily outrun your numbers because you are visible lol. War is not won by crowds but by strategy.

Take a look at the 1 naira Nigeria note that was issued in 1979. It’s actually worth more than the highest currency in circulation today in Nigeria, due to the Queen Idia mask on it, which turns it into an everlasting treasure.
