Last night I saw Hanif Abdurraqib, and he was brilliant, and funny, open, and kind. I pray he stays connected to nature, and beauty, and sun, and home ❤️

Denzel Washington’s performance in Malcom X changed my life. Watching this film the moment I finished reading The Autobiography of Malcom X impacted my world view forever. Consuming the book & film together is literally a spiritual experience. This is why art matters so much.
I'd love to see Nicole Beharie and Kane Robinson in a romance together. And not a romcom, or some heist, or trauma-filled movie, but a proper love story that evolves, and doesn't suggest they change their natural accents - no matter the setting.
