I really liked the movie but this scene felt so off, like it belonged to a different film entirely. In the book, the Laestrygonians are ruthless cannibals and their whole chapter is pure horror and the film turned one of the memorable chapter forgettable🤷♂️
The cycle never changes, they do a little work, then comes war, tax hikes, inflation and they hide behind religion and ideology knowing their supporters will defend them. Then another party takes their place and the cycle continues
Michael Bay turned explosions into an art form. It's over the top but that's exactly why it works on screen
