Tonight's viewing is Star Trek: First Contact - 1996. This was my first introduction to the franchise and significant for getting to see it in theater with my godparents. Lot of good stuff and it has good flow

Star Trek TNG had a profound impact on me growing up, and Patrick Stewart’s role above all: the secular, rationalist, egalitarian, post-scarcity (whisper it: socialist) vision of the future, a completion of the Radical Enlightenment project married to a sort of Aristotelian sense of virtue, duty, and deep purpose, a Shakespearean, theatrical-literary, humanist forgiveness and celebration of our foibles and fallenness, and Age of Discovery romantic call to adventure and exploration. I remain a believer that this world can yet be built.
Now I know how they all felt when Prince died. I'm not a music person. Then late 2010s hyper online move shows me Patty Stew loves the dogs. Immense presence vacated the world
These TNG edits will help me laugh cry

It's about time Barrack Obama got off his ass. He hasn't worked this hard since picking up the phone in March of 2020

“Resistant to Palestinian pain” to they teach a class on how to obfuscate like this or what
In my interviews with Israelis, a portrait has emerged: a people defiant but weary, resistant to Palestinian pain but traumatized from war, fed up with the world but fearful of global isolation, and in a tug-of-war with themselves.

This is the skill set of killers of the future.
No amount of tacticool black rifle drinking chudness with gucci gear will save you from a vape addict cat boy who can do this.
