I’ve been working on this for sometime now, I’ve about half the site revamped and working constantly to do the rest.
I’d appreciate if you all you just take a few minutes and have a browse through it.

I’ve tried to create a one stop shop for all things Tesla and SpaceX.
This is just a hobby of mine.
Raptor 4 will make 300 tons of thrust at sea level at roughly the same mass as Raptor 3, @elonmusk said on 26 October.
That is 62% more thrust than Raptor 1, from an engine that weighs about as much as a family car. Here is how SpaceX got there, and why it matters for Mars.
The cycle nobody had flown
• Raptor runs full-flow staged combustion. Every drop of propellant passes through a turbine before it burns.
• An oxygen-rich preburner spins the oxygen pump. A methane-rich preburner spins the fuel pump.
• Both hot gas streams then meet and burn completely in the main chamber.
• The payoff is higher chamber pressure, cooler turbines and no shared seal between fuel and oxidiser.
• Before Raptor, the Soviet RD-270 and NASA's Integrated Powerhead Demonstrator had tried the cycle. Neither ever left the ground.
• Raptor first flew on Starhopper in 2019 and is still the only full-flow engine to fly.
Squeezing the chamber
• February 2019: Raptor hit 268.9 bar, beating the record held for decades by Russia's RD-180
• By 2022: Raptor 2 ran routinely at 300 bar
• May 2023: a Raptor 3 test engine reached 350 bar and 269 tons of thrust
• @elonmusk said the team did not expect it to survive a full-duration run at that pressure, and that the chamber wall "might have the highest heat flux of anything ever made"
• Cold methane flows through channels in the chamber and nozzle walls to stop the engine melting itself
Three generations, side by side (SpaceX's own figures)
• Raptor 1: 185 t thrust, 2,080 kg engine, 3,630 kg installed
• Raptor 2: 230 t thrust, 1,630 kg engine, 2,875 kg installed
• Raptor 3: 280 t thrust, 1,525 kg engine, 1,720 kg installed
• Installed mass fell 53% while rated thrust rose 51%
• Thrust-to-weight went from about 89 to 141 to 184 on paper
How they deleted the heat shield
• Raptor 2 needed a heat shield and a fire suppression system around it on the booster
• For Raptor 3, SpaceX pulled pipes, wiring and secondary flow paths inside the engine body and added regenerative cooling to the surfaces left exposed
• The high-pressure side lost its bolted flanges and seals in favour of integrated parts
• Much of that internal plumbing only exists because of 3D metal printing. Musk says SpaceX has "the most advanced 3D metal printing technology in the world."
• He called the work "staggering". The heat shield and its fire suppression system are gone, which saves about 1.15 tons of installed mass per engine and roughly 38 tons across a 33-engine booster.
Paper versus reality
• The 280 t figure is SpaceX's rating. On 26 October, @elonmusk said, "We can only reliably get to around 230 t-F with Raptor 3."
• At 230 t, 33 engines give Super Heavy about 7,600 tons of liftoff thrust
• So reliable output today roughly matches Raptor 2's rating, but with 1.15 tons less installed mass per engine and no heat shield
• Musk has said a vacuum Raptor with a giant nozzle should reach 380 seconds of specific impulse
Raptor 4
• Target: 300 t at sea level, "and hopefully about the same mass"
• That is 30% more than Raptor 2 and 7% more than Raptor 3's rating
• In November 2025 Musk said Raptor 3 should be 2 to 4 times better than Merlin on cost per ton of thrust, and that Raptor 4 should beat Merlin by more than 10 times
• He also expects further gains in thrust-to-weight and efficiency
Why methane
• Methane can be made on Mars from carbon dioxide in the air and hydrogen from water ice, using the Sabatier reaction
• That means a ship can refuel for the trip home without hauling the fuel from Earth
• Small, dense engines also let Super Heavy fit 33 of them under a 9-metre base
The numbers that close it
• Saturn V's five F-1 engines made about 3,400 tons of liftoff thrust
• 33 Raptor 4 engines at 300 t would make about 9,900 tons, nearly three times the Moon rocket that defined Apollo

A new clip gives a close look inside the Cybercab's battery pack, from a Munro Live teardown filmed at Giga Texas.
The clip
• @RobotaxiRadar shared a 75-second preview on Sunday at 7:37pm ET (4:37pm PT) and said the full Munro Live video was due today
• It shows an opened Cybercab pack on a stand inside the factory, with an engineer walking Munro's team through it
What the engineer says
• The pack is built around three big tests: durability, front crashes and side impacts
• The cells aren't meant to absorb crash energy. They act as stiff backup for the main crash structure
• The top cover bolts into the main enclosure through long beams, so crash loads skip the glued layer of cells
• The modules also brace against those beams, which he calls "kind of semi-structural.
