I help busy creators run YouTube around jobs and kids. 2 monetized channels • Dad of 2 • Notion + AI systems. Build the channel. Keep your life.

YouTube Operator goes live tomorrow (Fri 30 Oct). It's the Notion board I use to move each video from Idea to Live, around a job and two kids. No countdown. I'll post it here in the morning.

What YouTube Operator is not: - not a growth hack - not a course that promises 100k subs - not AI that makes videos for you It's a Notion template with one board from Idea to Live, room for title and thumbnail ideas, quality checklists, tags, a Description section and a calendar. Boring on purpose.

I did not build YouTube Operator because I wanted another dashboard. I built it because I was tired of trying to run creator projects from memory.

That is the deeper promise: Run the channel through a system so the channel does not run your life.

If you are building YouTube around real responsibilities, I built this for you.

Every video I make moves through the same steps: Idea → To Package → To Script → To Film → To Edit → To Review → To Upload → To Schedule → Live The one most people skip: To Package. Write 3 title ideas and 3 thumbnail ideas before you script. That's where the click is won.

Build log, week 1. Cut: an AI "auto-script" feature. It was fun to build and nobody would use it twice. Kept: the quality checklists for idea, title, thumbnail and hook. Least exciting part, most useful. 5 days to launch. Still fixing small stuff in the evenings. What did you cut from your own setup that you thought you needed?

I stopped redesigning every thumbnail from zero. Same pain every upload: open Canva, stare, move boxes around, still look “fine.” Now: pick the topic → pull a prompt from Notion → generate 2–3 variants → ship the clearest one. Free Notion prompt library if that’s useful: alan-notion.kit.com/yt-thumb…

Your channel needs a memory outside your head.

Title ideas, thumbnail ideas, the hook, the description, the tags. If they live in your head (or 4 apps), they're gone by video 10.

I give every video its own Notion page that holds all of it. Boring. It saves me every week.
