Little Christy. Just look at this tiny, innocent baby. 💔
No more than 8 weeks old, this little puppy was abandoned late last night in Ashbourne, left alone to suffer, with nobody to care whether he lived or died in the freezing cold 💔💔💔💔
Thankfully, a kind hearted man spotted him before it was too late. He was absolutely red raw with mange, his little body covered in sore, irritated skin. He is skin and bone, full of worms and clearly has been suffering terribly.💔💔💔
Just imagine being so tiny, so helpless, and already knowing nothing but pain and neglect. 😢💔
What goes through someone's mind to abandon a baby like this? How can anyone walk away and leave an innocent little life to suffer?😡😡😡
This morning, we made sure Christy got straight to My Vet Ashbourne, where the wonderful team gave him the care and attention he desperately needed. His foster carer then collected him, and tonight, for the first time in who knows how long, this precious little soul is warm, safe and tucked up in a cosy bed.❤️
We've named him Christy, after the kind man who found him. ❤️
Christy has a long road ahead. His little body needs treatment, care and time to heal. But we promise him one thing: he will never be abandoned again. He will know kindness, he will know love, and he will finally know what it feels like to be wanted.

Connie is a 9 year old female cross breed. She is looking for a new home as sadly her owner passed away.
Connie is best in a home without other pets as this is what she is use too. She would be best in a home without kids.
Connie is chipped and spayed and fully house trained.
She gets heart medication daily for her cardiac valve, she does well on her medication which doesn't cause her any issues.
Connie eats butchers complete wet food, grain free and absolutely loves treats!
She adores people and will jump up to sit next to anyone who visits. She is registered with the vets.
Her owner's family have agreed to pay half of her monthly medication for the rest of her life.
Connie travels well in the car.
She walks well on the lead but will pull if she sees another dog.
Connie isn't a fan of being groomed.
She would be best with someone who is on their own or a couple looking for a companion.

Hugo is a 9 month old male Yellow Labrador.
He is available and looking for a new home as his owner has some health problems.
Hugo is chipped and healthy with no medical issues.
He is use to children and likes to play with other dogs.
Hugo has been to two dog training sessions and really enjoyed these. He sleeps in his crate at night and eats Royal Canin - Puppy Maxi.
Hugo is very happy to go in the car and loves treats. He is up to date with his flea and worm treatment and also registered at the vets.
Hugo hasn't lived with a cat but has been around cats with no issues.
He loves to play and roll around.
An active owner and someone who likes the outdoors is best for Hugo.
He would be suited to a home with a secure garden.
Hugo is a lovely dog and will make a great family pet.

I flat-shared with 4 others in London age 20. I had finished Uni...worked a good job Selfridges, slept on friends floor to try save for my own place closer to town. A flatmate was a loud obnoxious Australian, scary even, everything was shouted..he was horrible, I avoided him, he would find ways to demand more money from me. I paid towards council tax and some towards 'floor' as well as of course my part of general bills too so we never knew why he was being so vile..aside from vile sake...
I came home from work to a flat party at 8pm. I was handed a coke, I can't drink alcohol, I have crohns..it hurt to drink. I have ZERO recollection of anything until 6am, i was ontop of him, he was SA'ing me fully.
I was a virgin saving myself. I am autistic, I had serious issues with people touching me. I immediately jumped off..horrified...there were others in the room one guy watching it all...I still can barely speak of this..but there is a point.
I IMMEDIATELY packed my suitcase. I was so confused...I had no idea what happened...I was sore..tired..and utterly confused. My friend who's floor I slept on was still asleep. I left to go to nearest tube...he chased me the whole way repeating 'it's just sex..what's your deal, what's wrong with ya?' I now can't even listen to Australian accents...I never said a word. I got on the tube his voice ringing in my ear..
I went to my nearest friend who was In Oxford. I got bed in a hostel until I could gather my mind. I had interviews at MTV and TV channels all set up.. I didn't want to return to scotland. I had bruising on my neck..arms, absolutely brutal cystitis..i was torn up 'down there'.
What did I do?
I disassociated. I did not know what the hell I had done all that night. I could not figure it out. One year later my friend got married. That beast was there, I froze in fear. Infront of everyone in hotel breakfast he shouts 'Why you ignoring me..i fucked ya'
what did I do?
I just didn't respond..I was frozen....he had terrified me in such a deep way...I froze..am sorry...thats what happened.
TWENTY years later. I am a mother, lost a child, my own mother died, covid hit..my marriage failed..moved country..son struggling autism, i had a tumour nearly kill me, then my crohns..it was A LOT.. and I ended in therapy
It was not until then I could piece anything together. 1- I openly disliked this man, people knew I avoided him ad was afraid of him..I would NEVER have consented ever, even drunk...and...as I mentioned i can't drink, Id throw up. Only one answer, he drugged me.
On top of SA..he could have killed me, with crohns you don't know what your absorption is doing, so dangerous...I as able to sit and piece it together when I could face it...and it took 20 years...
so I don't judge anyone who 'took 20 years' to report.

Last night, our My Lovely Vintage Edenderry and My Lovely Hoofs & Boots shop in Edenderry was broken into and completely wrecked.💔💔💔💔💔
Someone smashed their way through the front window, broke windows at the back and went on to destroy so much inside. Items were smashed, things that we had treasured and used as displays for years were ruined, and the whole place was left in an awful state.
💔💔💔💔
There is no money in this shop. It is a CHARITY SHOP. Every single penny we raise goes towards helping us run My Lovely Animal Horse Rescue and care for the animals who depend on us.
We honestly cannot understand why someone would do this. We are already working so hard, taking one step forward and what feels like twenty steps backwards. This is another devastating blow for our little rescue.💔💔💔
We want to say a massive thank you to An Garda Síochána for responding, catching the person responsible, removing him from the premises and, most importantly, staying with us until the premises was secured and boarded up. We are genuinely grateful for their help and support.

Our thoughts are also with our wonderful shop manager and all our volunteers. We are so, so sorry that you have had to witness this and deal with the aftermath. We know how much love, time and effort you put into the shop 💔💔
