iPhone Duo Review so far: TouchID is better than FaceID. Other than the delay to unlock, it is way faster in authenticating when unlocked. Plus no ugly FaceID island or notch. The device is aesthetically pleasing. I feel like the Duo and Air have that Jony Ive DNA.

The wider width makes typing and texting so much better. Maybe it鈥檚 not a Blackberry but it is way less cramped. It kinda feels like a mini iPhone. Hello iPhone mini fans? The weight isn鈥檛 a problem at all. Feels very solid without being overbearing.

People complaining about the lack of FaceID on the iPhone Duo haven't thought about the usability. Apple would have to have FaceID not only on the outer screen, but also the inner screen. Otherwise you won't be able to unlock the phone if you start from an open position...

We have convinced ourselves that FaceID is superior, but a good fingerprint reader has always been way faster than FaceID, and a lot more consistent in working. And the goal of an all screen display will never happen unless you get rid of FaceID altogether. Get rid of it!!!

FaceID might be more personal, and maybe more sophisticated to implement, but it has not really been truly better than a fingerprint scanner. We have to stop pretending it ever was to get a gorgeous uninterrupted display. No cutouts. As we do already in the iPhone Duo innerscreen

I did not even confirmed my iPhone Duo order until a few minutes after it went live. If you wanted one on release day like me, y鈥檃ll should have ordered the 2TB version. I quite frankly need 4TB.
