They accidentally killed him because they were trying to choke him unconscious, rape him on camera and blackmail him with the footage, by the way
Please help me honor US Army Green Beret Staff Sergeant Logan Melgar.
On June 4, 2017, the 34-year-old engineer sergeant was killed in Mali during a hazing incident by fellow special operators who broke into his room, restrained him, and applied a chokehold that led to his death by asphyxiation.
From Lubbock, Texas, he served with the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) after enlisting in 2012, completed Special Forces training, and deploying twice to Afghanistan.
Survived by his wife Michelle and their two sons, Melgar was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, leaving a legacy of service and a case that exposed serious issues of accountability within elite military units.
Never forgotten.

Death ruled homicide by asphyxiation. Two SEALs and two Raiders charged with felony murder for chokehold in planned hazing to film sexual assault. Convicted of manslaughter/hazing; sentences 6mo-18mo after reductions. Theft cover-up motive alleged, denied.

Юный любознательный монах спрашивает у настоятеля монастыря: «Учитель, как буддизм обьясняет рост численности населения в мире, если душа все время перерождается?»
Мудрец улыбнулся юноше и ответил:

Just out of spite; here are the early Digger reviews that specifically discouraged audiences from going to theater to experience Digger. All of them were published before 10/2.
- Michael Calabro (IGN) : “the laughs that are there still will be when it hits HBO Max” ign.com/articles/digger-revi…
- Odie Henderson (The Boston Globe) : “doomscrolling … is a better use of your time than paying to see this movie” bostonglobe.com/2026/09/29/a…
- Johnny Oleksinski (New York Post) : “Audiences will urgently want to leave after the first five minutes.” nypost.com/2026/09/29/entert…
I respect anyone’s opinion on Digger, even if it’s a poor rating, because there are many points about this movie that could be up for a good debate.
What bothers me about those three reviews is that they went beyond judging the film and told people not to bother seeing it in theaters. Plenty of critics who didn’t like the movie still encouraged audiences to decide for themselves. One of the harshest early reviews predicted an F CinemaScore, yet still called it “the sort of interesting failure that’s eminently worth seeing.” Another wasn’t sold on the twist but said “the sheer boldness of the swing alone may be worth the price of admission.” One critic who didn’t love it said they were “giddy that it’s lurched into existence.” Even the critic behind one of those “wait for streaming” headlines wrote that the theater is “undoubtedly the best way to experience it.”
To me, those are more honest reviews of the movie than whatever those three articles were doing. If you encounter any articles from these three people... well, I'll let you be the judge 🙏
