Malachi Toney is trending to be among the all-time, alllll-time greats in #Canes history. Maybe....the greatest? From the @TheCoachJBShow with @TheRealCoach_JB and @Darnell_Smith95 ... @thebaileyprice

Do these idiots not realize he was taken out of the game so others could play? 🤦♀️

Toney.
And it’s honestly a thing of optics of excellence
A microcosm is a recent 50 yard TD from Toney.
Both qb and wr get credit for the TD
Toney was excellent for 49 yards after the catch

This is great thanks @Canes_Chief
Sometimes folks forget recent history.
Mensah is on a historic pace not only compared to Miami QBs but also comparing him to Burrow and Daniels.
🏆 Burrow (2019): 2,484 YDS | 29 TD | 3 INT | 79.4%
🏆 Daniels (2023): 2,294 YDS | 22 TD | 3 INT | 73.1%
🙌 Mensah (2026): 2,151 YDS | 22 TD | 1 INT | 81.4%

Reading this quote makes me even more sure that NC State made the right decision to FINALLY move on from him
Dave Doeren on the NC State and Raleigh media:
"Since so many of the media have so nicely and eloquently critiqued me over my 14 years, I wanted to do a nice reporter-by-reporter critique back to you. I was going to go through your names one by one and put your pictures up and have T-shirts about all of you, but I decided not to do that.
"But maybe later in a podcast down by the river with bottle of bourbon, that's going to happen."
Definitely looking forward to this...

Having two players in that conversation says a lot about the season so far. That kind of depth is hard to build and even harder to keep consistent week to week.
