Thank you, president @nmusar for the open&engaging discussion on the main topics of the European & international agenda
🇸🇮🇪🇺 Evropska unija si v svetu velikih geopolitičnih sprememb ne more privoščiti razdeljenosti. Njena moč je v enotnosti, spoštovanju mednarodnega prava in vrednotah, ki nas povezujejo.
O tem sem danes na rednem srečanju spregovorila z veleposlaniki držav članic EU v Sloveniji #EuHoMS. Če želimo močnejšo in vplivnejšo Evropo, moramo znati stopiti skupaj – ne le v besedah, temveč predvsem v dejanjih.

Choosing her native country as the first country to present the 2026 Enlargement Package. Engaging and comprehensive discussion with enlargement commissioner @MartaKosEU. Considerable progress in some candidate states, including R. Moldova. Enlargement is happening!

Today, September 1, we mark Romanian Diplomacy Day, a celebration taking place on the second day of #RADR2026. Because that is exactly what diplomacy stands for: an anchor of dialogue, cooperation and responsibility, promoting and protecting Romania’s interests in a changing world.
Our thanks go to all those who represent 🇷🇴, at home and abroad, with professionalism, dedication and dignity, including our diplomatic and consular corps and the entire team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Happy Romanian Diplomacy Day! 🤝

Very good phone conversation today with Slovenia's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs @TKajzer.
I congratulated him on assuming his new position and we discussed ways to further deepen our cooperation and strengthen coordination within the EU, NATO, and regional & multilateral formats.
I am pleased to see our bilateral relations continue to grow, especially in the economic field, with trade exchanges reaching a new record. This is clear proof of a strong partnership with even greater potential ahead. Romania's Chairmanships-in-Office of the CEI and SEECP offer further opportunities to enhance our cooperation in supporting the European path of candidate countries and to strengthen regional cooperation.
A nice surprise to find out that, early in his career, he was a grantee of the Nicolae Titulescu scholarship programme for young diplomats, here in Romania.
The programme remains to this day our flagship investment in young diplomats from across the globe.
Diplomatic hike 2026. After the highest peak and the symbol of 🇸🇮 (Triglav, 2864m) last year, this year we ascended Stol (2236m), the highest peak of the Karawanks mountains. 🇸🇮 is for sure one of the top hiking destinations in Europe

Congratulations, @TKajzer, on your appointment as Slovenia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs. I look forward to working together to further strengthen the close 🇷🇴 🇸🇮 partnership, including on economic and sectorial fields.
Ready to coordinate closely within the EU, NATO and the UN, as well as in regional frameworks such as the Central European Initiative and SEECP, where Slovenia is a valued partner.
