you conducted his baptism photo opp AFTER his sexual assault and rape allegations were made public. it was never genuine and you’re full of fucking shit
Brand’s faith seemed genuine to me at the time when I was a guest at his private baptism. I have attended a few now. Even visiting in prisons with people who have committed terrible crimes. It's part of our calling as men and women of faith, to love and serve anyone. It is the sick that need healing. Judgement is for the courts and God… I wouldn’t want to ever discourage someone’s coming to faith. It is right that justice has now been served. I can’t imagine how hard this time has been for the victims, the heroes of the day.

How to define the protagonist in the ordinary world. 1. Introduce them with a WANT to show them in ACTION. 2. Force them to make a moral CHOICE. 3. Show them at HOME, WORK, and PLAY. 4. Reveal their EXPECTATIONS for the future. Shatter it all with the inciting incident.

¿Se acuerdan que a View to a Kill parecía medio ridícula porque Roger Moore luchaba contra un millonario de Silicon Valley que era nazi en secreto y quería esclavizar al mundo? Bueno.

you’re hiding RAM under the floor board aren’t you?
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

THE LANGOLIERS (1995) deserves a proper remake. A group of passengers land in an empty world where time has moved on and something is eating the past. That premise is pure nightmare fuel, buried under dated effects and a TV-movie budget.
Are there any movies you actually WANT to see remade? Not classics that already got it right, but films with great concepts that deserved a much better execution, or adaptations that strayed too far from their source material. WORLD WAR Z is a perfect example. The book’s oral-history format could make for an incredible anthology series. What movie deserves a second chance?

Intelligence must draw on memory. The mind must not simply compile data — as an algorithm now does more quickly than we can — but recall lived experiences, which contain depths of meaning that only the human soul can recognize, and connect more deeply with the goodness of these experiences. Everything that is good begins “with the Spirit” and thus possesses a breath, a dynamism and a sense of communion that, once experienced, are engraved upon the heart. vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…

Digger is not going to be a cult classic in 20 years. It is one now. 20 years from now it might be a classic, full stop. And it will have aged better than we could predict. We're at a time where the reappraisals of controversial movies start before the audience even sees them.

Reminder that ai can’t be legally copyrighted so you can upload this whole movie to twitter, piracy sites or pretty much anywhere you like and the makers can’t really do anything about it. We really need this to be a financial flop

What really astonishes me about that AI “movie” is that this Gossip Goblin fella spent *9 months* typing stuff into a computer and that was the best he could achieve.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.
