Trump is open to a three-party meeting with Putin and Xi. But there is a hitch: China, the prospective host, hasn’t issued an invitation. The obstacle is a fundamental disagreement over what the three leaders would discuss.

SCOOP: Broadcom CEO Hock Tan was getting impatient.
He needed lenders to commit $40 billon in the largest AI debt deal ever—so Anthropic could afford TPUs—but some were getting cold feet.
In the end, Broadcom’s CEO held 11th-hour talks with bank executives over the weekend to get them to finalize their commitments. Broadcom also agreed to higher interest rates on the loans, sweetening the deal.

Several real estate brokers bought up tracts of land in the months before Meta announced its "Hyperion" data center in north Louisiana.
Now, the land is worth 10 times what the previous owners sold it for. And they're calling foul.

I covered Dale Brown @lsureveille in the early 1980s. He made LSU basketball a happening. And he returned a student reporter's phone calls even though he couldn't pick me out of a police lineup.

A few readers have taken me to task for “missing the point of the film,” which is apparently that Elizabeth Holmes is unknowable and everything is ambiguous. Here’s my response: She went after Tyler Shultz and Erika Cheung with everything she had. I was threatened with litigation on a daily basis for months on end. It was a ruthless cover-up of a breathtaking fraud, and she was at the controls. Just a little context for those who have forgotten or didn’t follow the original story. By the way, I loved the film. #BestPicture, IMO.

“It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express,” she wrote on Signal, according to messages reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. “Please.”

NEW: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent recently said in an interview that he believes in the idea of "fired if fired upon" in how to respond to people.
Inside Treasury, his management of the agency has featured him, at times, ripping into agency staff and battling with officials leading to multiple departures.
Some of his defenders, including former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, admit Bessent has a temper, is intense, passionate and demanding but that's all by design to keep Treasury staff in check with the president's agenda. "He brings a Wall Street mentality to Washington," another said.
Our deep dive on what's been happening in an agency that's seen high turnover with alumni of Bessent's hedge fund coming in to help him.
