Before air conditioning, evaporative coolers were what we all used in AZ. I have yet to turn on my AC because I have dual-system. Still, AC is more energy efficient than heating systems, and produces less CO2.
I am always struck by these yearly club promos that feature men and women play under the same badge, adding to the club's legacy. Why can't this be the case in American professional sports? Instead, they're separated and diluted. This is a massive missed branding opportunity.
Bill Walton had the right perspective and enthusiasm for sports and life. He will be greatly missed and remembered well. Rest in peace!
The Oklahoma City Thunder brand stands in defiance against every graphic designer who spends their weekend hobby hours on sports logo concepts. It will never change. It will never feature a storm cloud, lightning bolt, or buffalo.
With horse racing in Tucson pretty much done, converting the historical Rillito Racetrack Park into soccer specific stadium for @ArizonaSoccer and @FCTucson to play would be pretty incredible.
Humans and whales share much of the same skeletal structure. At my Christian high school, this was the mark of a single artist (God). At my public university, it was evidence of a shared lineage (evolution). There’s no conflict unless you really want one.
This is a core memory of my sports fandom. My mom and aunt took my cousin and I (both 11 years old at the time) to watch the game at Famous Sam’s. We lived and died with every possession. And when we won, Tucson felt like the center of the universe. I hope we get there again.

Reminder: anyone can be a supporter of any team, anywhere, for any reason, and there is no good reason to gate keep sports fandom.
when a band teases the upcoming album with a couple nice singles and when the full-length finally drops the first track is an incredible banger
The original plan had a 10k seat soccer stadium, which could've been home to FC Tucson, Arizona Women's Soccer, and more. Hockey is cool but what is driving this investment when infrastructure for sports like soccer, football, and lacrosse are still lacking in Tucson?

Shouldn't this rendering be a reality by now?
"There's nothing to do in Tucson" = a tired trope that isn't true. Athletics thrives year-round with a vibrant soccer community. TASL is one of the most robust adult leagues in the nation with over 1K players. I'm proud to have contributed to this rebrand: youtu.be/Decyz9xHU3c?si=Vr8M…
