Basketball season is a disaster. Baseball lost the opener. Now, getting no-hit by VMI. Comeback is likely, but man, February isn’t being kind to the Hawks.

I've been blessed to work with North Carolina's hardest working college beat writer for close to two years, and it's not a knock on anyone else. I just haven't seen anyone do as much: FB Lives, games, photo galleries, breaking news, video, enterprise. We'll miss you buddy.

Worst kept secret in ILM: Wanted to let everyone know, this is my last week as the UNCW beat writer for the StarNews. Next Monday, I'll be starting my new role as communications/marketing coordinator and community liaison for Pender County Schools. Excited for the new challenge

This team continues to impress, especially at The Trask. As a result, the leading contender for CAA Coach of the Year? The Barefoot.
