This President told us he was going to go after violent criminals. Instead, we have masked agents killing American citizens on residential streets. Our country is better than this. We are better than this.

Maybe I'm "woke" but I don't think we should tolerate masked men arresting people without due process and shooting innocent bystanders.
Hi @Northpowergrid are you really turning the power off in my street with less than 10 mins notice from 21.50-13.30 tomorrow? Youve just sent me a text saying you are, in NE23. Are you for real?? I have 2 children at home and also work from home

Some concerning reports recently about the amount and quality of food in prisons.
Food should be a pathway to rehabilitation not a barrier to it.

AND SENDING FEWER PEOPLE TO PRISON WHICH IS THE ONE AND ONLY WAY THIS GETS FIXED
Today, Lord Chancellor @ShabanaMahmood addressed staff from across the nation at @MoJGovUK HQ.
She outlined her vision for the future of justice, including prison reform, driving down court backlogs, strengthening probation & tackling violence against women and girls.
This is brilliant news. James is an excellent man and I think he’ll make a huge difference. For the first time in ages I feel optimistic about the potential for government to think and act on prisons
James Timpson OBE @JamesTCobbler has been appointed Minister of State (Minister for Prisons, Parole and Probation) in the Ministry of Justice @MoJGovUK.

#Alabama has tortured a man to death by suffocating him with 100% nitrogen.
"He began to convulse, he popped up on the gurney over and over and over and over again,” said the Reverend Jeff Hood who was in the death chamber.
“It was the most horrible thing I think I’ve ever seen… He shook the whole gurney. I could hear audible gasps coming behind me from the witness area.”
#deathpenalty: The ultimate of all hypocrisies: "You've killed someone, so we're going to murder you."

War is an old idea dying its last breath. It may try to raise its ugly head, but it's an old earth reality that has no place in the future. The future is PEACE (Isaiah 2:4). The future is ONENESS.
We need a fundamental acknowledgement that our prison system is truly awful and, in most cases, causing further harm. I know first hand, I work in one right now and, despite some good staff trying hard, it is a dismal place. Unless we can acknowledge this, reform is beyond us.
For once I heartily agree with @DavidGHFrost. He's right on prison reform. The politics is horrendously difficult for govts of any party. Means spending more on prisons at expense of other, more popular public services &/or reducing significantly the nos we send to prison
Land of the free. 🇺🇸 Unless a policeman shoots you dead of course. 🇺🇸
Mapping Police Violence finds more than 1,200 people have been killed by police so far in 2023, surpassing last year’s record for deadly police violence. Police killed more people in America this year than any other year in recent history. mappingpoliceviolence.us
