i've been going through some demoralizing RL stuff lately (read: job hunting - fucking yuck), and my confidence is pretty much on the floor but i got some kind ao3 comments on old work recently, and the engagement and excitement from those comments has helped turn my day around

i'll probably hit 40k, which isn't nothing. of course, a lot of that 40k is utter garbage. nonsensical sprints and continuity errors and one-dimensional interactions. hopefully, i'll get a few usable bones out of this process. it's so different from how i normally write :/
