Help me help this effort by sharing this post to make others aware of this phenomenal anthology. LINKS: Provided in the comments thread. ARCANE AWAKENINGS - An Urban Fantasy Anthology Urban fantasy stories usually begin after magic has become part of the world. Hidden societies already exist, plotting and scheming while hoarding arcane knowledge and manipulating human events. Supernatural wars are fought behind the scenes, and monsters roam the streets looking for unsuspecting victims. But where does the story truly begin? Who was the first person to realize magic was real? What caused the veil between worlds to blur, merging the physical world and the realms beyond? Was it an ancient race of beings entering the modern world? A mage unleashing a forgotten ritual finally completed? A divine awakening of angelic beings? Was it the creation of a new god? Or the clash of two armies wielding unknown elements, resulting in unforeseen consequences? ARCANE AWAKENINGS is an anthology about the emergence of magic. Who are the authors? Arcane Awakenings brings together 18 passionate creators writing 17 original urban fantasy stories centered on one shared concept: the awakening of magic. The contributors include independent authors, world builders, and #fantasy lovers united by a passion for #supernatural storytelling. Some members of the team have worked on self-published fiction, collaborative projects, online serial fiction, and creative anthology work, while others are making their publishing debut.
