The AU–IFRC High-Level Convening on Advancing Durable Solutions Towards Zero Hunger in Africa concluded in Addis Ababa on 3 November with a shared call for stronger African ownership, sustained investment and coordinated action.
The communiqué brings together country priorities and areas for collective action, including climate-resilient agriculture, anticipatory action, nutrition, sustainable livelihoods and stronger food systems.
It also highlights the importance of aligning partner support with national priorities, mobilising public and private investment, and strengthening coordination and accountability to ensure solutions reach communities.
Africa has solutions to hunger. Now we must connect efforts, invest in what works and make those solutions last.

The Bill seeks to raise the legal drinking age: Increase the minimum age for purchasing and consuming alcohol from 18 to 21 years.

KENYA SCHOOL OF LAW, CLE EXAMS REVISION.
Tomorrow, we will conduct a Criminal Litigation revision session with students from the Kenya School of Law.
With 65% of students failing the last exam, we have taken the initiative to revise with them to help them pass their exams.
Our goal is to ensure that more students are adequately prepared to excel in their examinations.

Ayaga Max Liambilah (@ayagamax), a Graduate Assistant at Strathmore Law School, has had his academic paper cited in a judgment of the High Court of Kenya.
Published on SSRN in August 2026, his paper, Constitutionalising Defamation: The Limits of a Constitutional Cause of Action for Reputation, was cited by Hon. Lady Justice Aburili Roselyne Ekirapa, in the judgment in Talent Works and Rights Enforcement Agency v Kenya Copyright Board & another [2026] KEHC 13377 (KLR), delivered on 1 September 2026.
The paper examines the place of reputation in constitutional jurisprudence, particularly the question of when defamation may give rise to a constitutional cause of action.
The citation brings Max's academic work into judicial reasoning, highlighting the role legal scholarship can play in shaping conversations around constitutional interpretation and the development of jurisprudence.
