The prescribed burn on the Descanso District will be on Mt Laguna off Sunrise Hwy. Smoke will be visible from Pine Valley, the I-8 corridor and other surrounding communities.

.@CALFIRESANDIEGO is conducting hazard reduction pile burning in the Campo area today along the Camp Lockett Fuel Break. Flames may be seen on the east side of Sheridan Road near Campo Café, and smoke will be widely visible as well.

With no rain in the forecast, wildfire risk will remain substantial through November and December. As a result, additional fire restrictions have been put in place through January limiting campfires and recreational shooting. bit.ly/2CpBli8

This is an aerial shot of the #ViewFire that started southeast of Viejas Casino. The forward rate of spread has been stopped. The fire burned just under 2 acres. CNF sent 7 engines, 1 crew, 1 water tender and 1 helicopter along with fire resources from @CALFIRESANDIEGO.

#WestFire [update] Due to more accurate mapping, the fire is now 504 acres. Firefighters continue to make excellent progress, as the fire is now 81% contained. Evacuation orders and road closures remain in effect throughout the night. Next update will be 8am tomorrow morning.
