Tuesday, October 13, 2026 PLEASE🙏 share for: Prince William County Animal Services Bureau 14807 Bristol Rd. Manassas, VA 20112 (702) 792-6465 Being a pittie at a shelter makes it really hard to stand out. It's even harder when you're a black pittie (ever heard of black dog syndrome?). Now imagine you're not even visible to the public. You are virtually invisible. That describes Buddy's🐾🐾 luck at finding his forever❤️ home thus far. 😔 We'll just say it - Buddy🐾🐾 HATES his kennel! He will tell that to you and everyone else who comes into his room, loudly and clearly. 😂 This is why Buddy🐾🐾 is kept in a quieter room not open to the public. Fast forward 30 seconds to when Buddy🐾🐾 gets outside - he is a completely different dog! Buddy🐾🐾 loves hanging out, playing fetch, and snuggling with his favorite volunteers in the yard. He’s also super happy taking long walks on the trail. He is great on leash and doesn't pull. Not to mention he has the most adorable walk, especially from the rear view. 🤭 Buddy's🐾🐾 interactions with other dogs in the yard vary; depending on the dog, he may play at the fenceline or he may ignore them completely. Buddy🐾🐾 has done great parallel walking with other dogs, although with some he was so interested in what they were doing it was hard to concentrate on his walk (slight case of FOMO 😉). So if you have a resident dog, please bring them to meet Buddy🐾🐾. As Buddy🐾🐾 has gotten to know the volunteers, he has really opened up and become quite the cuddle bug. He'll often jump in your lap in the yard to get some love and scratches. Buddy🐾🐾 is listed to be good with kids. As always, you would want to make slow, careful introductions. Buddy🐾🐾 is already neutered and ready to be part of your family today. Though he isn't in one of the publicly visible kennels, he is always available to meet - just check in with a staff member when you arrive. Buddy🐾🐾 is just one of the many pitties available for adoption❤️ at the Animal Services Center. Let's celebrate Pit Bull Awareness month and help get these wonderful dogs into the homes they deserve and crave!
