Great to welcome you back to China to take forward such an important agenda. Local production, sustainable financing and strong partnerships will be critical to strengthening Africa’s health security and delivering results #ForEveryChild @UNICEFChina
A year after speaking at the China-Africa TVET cooperation consortium, I'm back in China with @G_LaryeaAdjei and our teams for the China-Africa Health Forum, advancing South-South cooperation, financing and supply chains to accelerate results #ForEveryChild across Africa. Next stop: Guangzhou ! This year, I will be speaking on access to and local production of public health products, focusing on how financing, partnerships and sustainable business models can advance the Africa CDC local manufacturing agenda.

Grateful to Vice President Wang of China’s Supreme People’s Court for hosting us. Another milestone in our partnership as 100 judges from across China joined international experts to exchange experiences on strengthening child-friendly justice.
Today in Qingdao, UNICEF & the Supreme People’s Court of China brought together judges & experts to advance judicial protection of children. Our goal: justice where every child is heard, protected & supported - with justice, child protection and social services working together.

Proud to see this important milestone in Kenya-China South-South Cooperation. This is the kind of cooperation that turns climate ambition into practical, scalable solutions for children and communities. Congratulations to both governments, and every success with implementation.
A significant milestone: #Kenya and #China have signed an MoU on the #AfricaSolarBelt initiative under the South-South Cooperation for addressing climate change. The initiative will provide sustainable clean energy to 120,000 people in remote, off-grid rural communities in Kilifi and Tana River counties, including Masai Mara University. This energy will power drinking water supplies, schools and health care facilities, improving essential services and people’s livelihoods. By combining Kenya’s resources with China’s expertise, both countries are committed to promoting climate resilience and green, low-carbon development. A strong example of South-South cooperation is turning technology and investment into better services for children. @UNICEFKenya is pleased to have supported the feasibility work underpinning the initiative and the coordination between both governments, and remains committed to bringing its technical expertise and partnerships to help leverage resources for the needs of children and communities. @EnergyMinK @ChineseEmbKenya @ForeignOfficeKE @AlexKWachira @UNICEFChina @AmbGuoHaiyan @AmaSande @UNICEF

Thank you, George, for a timely visit and important conversation with African Ambassadors. With Africa’s median age at just 19, the choices and investments we make for children and young people today will help shape Africa’s future for decades to come.
UNICEF DP @G_LaryeaAdjei joined African Ambassadors in Beijing to propose a Compact for the Next Generation: African-owned, measurable outcomes through #FOCAC that move from projects to transformation at scale, so Africa’s next generation can survive, learn, connect & thrive.

Helping Every Child Build Skills for the Future At the 2026 Chery International User Summit, @SilviaDanailov, UNICEF Representative in Viet Nam, shared how the CHERY for UNICEF global education partnership is helping children build the skills, confidence and resilience they need to shape their futures. Since 2023, with the support of partners like CHERY, UNICEF has helped nearly 178 million out-of-school children access education and enabled 126 million children to learn through digital platforms. Today, this global partnership spans six countries, supporting children across Viet Nam, China, Mexico, South Africa, Türkiye, and Indonesia, united by a shared vision: powering every child's learning journey. Drawing on examples from @UNICEF Viet Nam, @SilviaDanailov highlighted how this shared commitment is creating impact both globally and in local communities. In Viet Nam, the partnership goes beyond digital learning as usual. It advances an equity-driven, human-centred approach to digital and AI learning: transforming how children learn, protecting their well-being and online safety, building skills for the future of work, and creating a more inclusive education ecosystem. With CHERY's support, UNICEF is bringing digital learning, future skills and new opportunities to children across Viet Nam, including many who might otherwise be left behind: · More than 1.36 million students, approximately half of whom are girls, have gained access to inclusive digital learning and future skills. · 57,240 teachers have strengthened their competencies in digital learning, AI and STEM/STEAM education. · 8,400 teachers are better equipped to support students’ mental health and psychosocial well-being. These results demonstrate the power of investing in education. When a child gains confidence, new possibilities emerge. When a teacher develops new skills, hundreds of students benefit. And when schools embrace innovation, entire communities can thrive. Together, let’s keep powering every child’s learning journey. #CheryforUNICEF #ForEveryChild #PoweringEveryChildsLearningJourney #CSR #CheryInternationalUserSummit2026
