Would love some alpha readers.
It's a spooky story. It starts with deer splitting in half, and ends with the destruction of a world created by a rebellious angel.
The Chronicles of Fallowton.

How?!
On the ride home from Virginia, my aunt casually tells me about the time she was smoking in the garage with her friend, when all of a sudden a softball-sized sphere of light bounds inside, bounces off the floor, bounces back outside, bounces over the street, bounces off a neighbor's house, then smacks into another neighbor's AC unit.
...She just casually dropped the fact she's seen ball lightning, and was nearly hit by it. What the fluff!?
It's interesting the responses to this comment are semi-literate proclamations that first-worlders must be dumb to be so easily defeated by the third world.
First-worlders aren't dumb, we're just not on guard 24/7.
Imagine the only way your could retain your possessions/life is if you had to remain switched-on during every interaction, and at every minute of every day.
High-trust, first-world citizens have the luxury of being able to relax from time to time. If you dilute first-world spaces with third-world people, those first-world spaces disappear. At best you can sequester a small section of those spaces for those who share your morality and mental capacity, but those fences must be rigorously guarded if you want to keep them.
X's automatic translation feature has been extremely illustrative that the central fight for the Earth's soul boils down to a model that allows for first-world flourishment to thrive and spread, or if you want the forces of the thurd-world to sweep across your precious lands and bury everything you once loved under mounds of low-impulse, low-IQ swindling.
If you want a taste of what this will be like, just look at your cell phone. When was the last time you answered a call from an unknown number?
Exactly...
Your internet, your commerce, your economy, your companies, your cities, your commute to work, your neighborhood, your civilization will all become like your phone.
You either choose to push out those countries now, or those countries will push you into a corner later.
Found this very old painting in my grandma's garage. No clue who made it. If anyone has any leads, I'd love to know. It's a gorgeous piece that my terrible photography skills don't do justice.
Evolution of social media:
1997 - 2012: You can interact with your friends.
2012 - 2020: You can interact with the world.
2020 - present: You don't get to interact with anyone.
Based on the interaction analytics, this post didn't have legs.
...Likely because it had thumbs instead!
I'm going to start a conspiracy theory that Charlie Chaplin had two giant thumbs where each of his hands should be, and that through the miracle of Hollywood Magic™, they were able to make him look like a normal person.
There is no reason for any of this outside of whimsy-maxxing.

Behind the scenes photos were recently discovered in the attic of a grandchild of one of the cameramen.
The evidence is shocking!

Part 2. What happens when a sentience allows its wrath to warp it into something inhuman? And what happens when others allow that wrath to spread to them?
Jack is what happens...
