Wrapping up summer research, but really just starting something. In a survey of 75 teachers across the US, 100% report that they experience the impact of secondary trauma, yet only 25% of them have healthy practices in place to navigate those impacts. Let's talk about that.

5 more @MoStateCOE mental health first aiders certified today! These ELE and ECE teachers reported feeling informed and equipped after our training. All @MoStateCOE student teachers have an opportunity to attend this internationally recognized training! Next one is this Spring!
Another round of @MoStateCOE mental health first aiders through @MHFAMissouri are heading back into their student teaching placements today. I'm hopeful they are more equipped to face the challenges presented by mental health concerns in schools. ❤️
