On this day, 117 years ago, Alice Ramsey rolled into San Francisco, CA, completing the 1st cross-country automobile journey by a female driver. Her adventure began in NY & spanned 3,800 miles, taking 59 days to complete on rough roads, & at a time when automobiles were a novelty.
