वर्ष 2006 में केंद्रीय शिक्षा संस्थानों IIT, IIM, AIIMS सहित अन्य संस्थानों में 27% OBC आरक्षण लागू कराने में उनकी ऐतिहासिक भूमिका रही। इस फैसले ने किसान, कारीगर, पशुपालक और मेहनतकश पिछड़े वर्गों के लाखों युवाओं के लिए उच्च शिक्षा के दरवाजे खोले। यह महज आरक्षण नहीं, सामाजिक न्याय की दिशा में एक ऐतिहासिक क्रांति थी।
लेकिन आज न्यायपालिका में प्रतिनिधित्व की स्थिति पर भी सवाल उठना जरूरी है।
ठाकुरों की न्यायप्रियता का ऐसा दौर आया कि न ठाकुर सुप्रीम कोर्ट में जज बन पा रहे हैं और न ही ठाकुर संपादक बन पा रहे हैं!
लगता है कॉलेजियम को डर है कि कहीं ये लोग पद पर पहुँचकर सचमुच न्याय और निष्पक्षता को प्राथमिकता न देने लगें।
न्यायपालिका और कॉलेजियम में OBC, SC, ST सहित सभी सामाजिक वर्गों का पारदर्शी और उचित प्रतिनिधित्व आखिर कब सुनिश्चित होगा?
श्रद्धांजलि केवल शब्दों से नहीं, सामाजिक न्याय और समान भागीदारी के अधूरे सपने को पूरा करने के संकल्प से सच्ची होगी।

तो भाजपा ने चुनाव के बाद नियम बदल दिए - 4 डायरेक्टर ठूँसो, 12 को 16 बनाओ, बहुमत चुराओ। ये दूध उत्पादकों के वोट की चोरी है - जनादेश में मिलावट।
भाजपा इतनी हताश हो चुकी है कि हर जगह सत्ता बचाने के लिए किसी भी हद तक जा रही है।
दूध उत्पादकों का वोट चुराने वाले याद रखें - किसान भूलता नहीं।
The Maharashtra government is brazenly attempting to subvert the democratic mandate of milk producers at the Gokul Milk Federation by using legislative changes to manipulate the composition of an elected board.
In the 19 October elections, the Congress-led panel won 13 of 25 seats, securing a majority over the Mahayuti’s 12. After Mahayuti-backed directors stalled the chairman’s election by remaining absent, the Bombay High Court directed a fresh election on 10 November.
Instead of allowing the elected board to function, the state Cabinet has approved a proposal to nominate four government directors with voting rights, potentially altering the electoral arithmetic and overturning the mandate of milk producers.
The larger question is whether a government can change the rules after an election simply because it does not like the result. We are challenging this decision in the Supreme Court to defend the democratic mandate and the autonomy of cooperative institutions.
