I actually suspect Emin was trying to make a point. From other BTS clips, I’ve had the impression that he’s grown tired of this repetitive storyline where Aleyna constantly has to jump into his arms, hug him, and create these exaggerated moments of physical closeness. My interpretation is that he may have deliberately exaggerated the embrace, almost parodying how ridiculous and forced these scenes have become. But I don’t think he necessarily anticipated how his gesture would come across or what reaction it might trigger. Perhaps he only realized that afterward. Now, regarding the embrace itself, I absolutely agree that it was excessive. But excessive doesn’t automatically mean romantic. And that’s where I see an important distinction. Throughout the interactions I’ve observed between Emin and Aleyna, I personally haven’t identified romantic undertones in his behavior toward her. What I see is much closer to a playful, sibling-like dynamic, with teasing and teasingly gestures rather than romantic attraction. However, from a behavioral analysis perspective, there’s one important limitation: I don’t have an established behavioral baseline for Emin and Aleyna’s interactions outside filming. Therefore, I cannot determine whether that level of physical closeness is normal between them, whether it was encouraged by the director, or whether this particular embrace was genuinely out of character. The director’s intervention alone doesn’t answer those questions either. As for İlsu, I agree that her reaction appears to go beyond simple irritation. To me, there seems to be an element of possessiveness, and I find that particularly interesting. And here’s the irony: if some people are so convinced that there’s absolutely nothing between Emin and İlsu, why does the possibility of her reacting possessively seem to bother them so much? My point is simple: I can recognize an excessive embrace but I don’t see it as romantic, just as I can recognize a potentially possessive reaction. Behavioral analysis requires context, patterns, and a baseline. Otherwise, we’re simply projecting our own narratives onto isolated moments.

LET’S TALK ABOUT THAT BTS FOOTAGE — AND THE EDITING BEHIND IT. I spebd the night looking very closely at the footage, one thing stands out: we are NOT watching one continuous interaction between Emin and Aleyna. We are watching multiple separate shots, cut and stitched in together: an embrace, playful exchanges, smiles, gestures, and additional moments arranged to create the illusion of prolonged intimacy. Now, let’s examine Emin’s actual behavior. His body language appears relaxed, playful, and friendly. The interaction resembles teasing between colleagues, friends and not romantic flirting. There is no clear behavioral progression toward romantic intimacy. Yet the editing repeatedly emphasizes physical closeness, encouraging the audience to interpret these ordinary interactions differently. And here’s where the timing becomes particularly interesting. These kinds of edits have become increasingly noticeable after Emin publicly called out Arafta over the Cannes situation. Before that, one narrative. After the public call-out, a noticeable shift in how interactions are presented. Coincidence? The timing raises serious questions about Arafta’s editorial choices and whether this shift is connected to the public disagreement. The footage shows playful behavior. The editing sells intimacy. And the timing speaks volumes. Emin’s behavior isn’t the problem. It’s how that behavior is being presented to the audience. #Arafta #EminGünenç #İlsuDemirci #Emsu

On the topic of unsafe working conditions they didn't even seal these crow bars coming straight towards their heads and before someone brings in camera angle argument it's futile its an open safety hazard to the actors. Maybe we should've focused on calling this out. #Arafta

Why are we even defending this based on their ages? Doesn’t everyone deserve the same level of respect and decorum, regardless of how old they are? Friends hug! Friends peck each other!Friendship is supposed to be fun, we honestly all get it , we don’t like Aleyna’a acting ,but don’t let your hatred overshadow basic human behavior . Being in this fandom has really opened my eyes to how lack of exposure and differences in mindset can sometimes be so detrimental😤 #arafta

They’ve been friends for years & cultural differences exist. He doesn’t need your permission on how to behave with his own friends. They’re happy and enjoying their bond. Maybe stop policing a friendship you’re not part of and handing out character certificates nobody asked for

Coming from a woman who spent 24/7 with him. Your shade doesn't define his character! You'll never see certain faces when he's being heavily attacked, but when it comes to throwing shade at him, they're always the first ones there. Keep hiding behind your masks. #arafta

Not every culture follows the social norms you're accustomed to. Your unfamiliarity with certain interactions doesn't automatically make them questionable. Try reading something other than fan wars and talking to people beyond your own little bubble. It might broaden your horizons.🤚
