I don’t remember voting to elect Elon Musk, do you? This one erratic man has way too much power. He is buying himself our government!

There is something deeply wrong with a political system that allows one trillionaire to buy his own personal U.S. Senator.
Sigh. Wag the dog time.
“The reduction of American forces and diplomatic personnel is similar to drawdowns at bases and embassies that the Defense Department and the State Department initiated around the start of the war with Iran in February.”
As I’ve been saying, just focus on voting and getting everyone you know to vote!

The White House Correspondents' Association strongly objects to the decision to restrict a journalist’s coverage simply because the president didn’t care for their questioning. That is retaliation. The American public's right to an independent press depends on reporters being able to do their jobs without fear that challenging the president will cut off their access.

Pass it on….
There is a very disturbing trend being seen in early voting. Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio are reporting difficulties getting the machines to accept democratic votes. The machines change them back to Republican unless the voter persists, pressing several times to get the correct vote to go through.
Check your machine, check to see that it accepted the correct vote. Make sure your voice counts.
A week of breathtaking corruption, and as the election nears, Trump promising cash and bailouts to rally his base. Trump's bromance with Putin is back, center stage. Overall, a nutty week! Catch up on all you missed.

There is no bottom for this woman. What a lowlife PoS!
Replying to @megynkelly
@megynkelly exposes the truth about Amy Acton. It’s uncomfortable, but every voter in Ohio should watch every second of this.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Court records corroborate that Amy Acton's stepfather was charged and indicted in 1978 for raping her as a child, after which she and her brother were removed from their mother's custody.

Of course he did. PoS.
WOW -- Vance *defends* Ramaswamy's reprehensible ad 👇
Q: Ramaswamy's campaign put out a controversial ad featuring his opponent's mother. Some Republicans are backing away from that. Do you think that ad was appropriate?
JD VANCE: Well, I'll be honest with you. Whether the ad was appropriate or not is not really my concern. My concern is who is gonna govern. I have to admit I'm a little bit disgusted when I see Republicans who are whining more about that ad than they are about what the Democrats want to do.
Wedgewood polling caused Democrats to end up with the least electable of the three candidates running in the primary in Michigan, and it has cost our party tens of millions of dollars to try to protect what should be a safe blue seat. We need to know who was behind this poll, who was getting paid, and what the mission was overall.
This is extraordinary! Former treasury secretary Robert Rubin is speaking out about the potential of Trump and his allies seeking to interfere in midterms, or not accept the results, and calling on business and political leaders to push back, warning about the severe impact on our economy:
"If the Trump administration launches an effort to manipulate the outcome of the midterms, the economic impact could be felt immediately, and it could last long after Mr. Trump’s presidency ends."

“Most revolting and unsettling is a new "October surprise" ad created by Ramaswamy's campaign and posted on social media. In it, Acton's estranged mother calls her claims of childhood poverty and sex abuse lies. It should go without saying that sexual violence against children should not be politicized or taken as lightly as Ramaswamy appears to take it.”

This article broke my heart. This is what regular Americans are going through under Trump.
After the hottest summer on record, residents in Oklahoma are getting letters from their local utility giving them a fixed number of days to pay their summer bill or face disconnection.
NYT: ““The summer had just ended, and they had just gotten the bill for all of that electricity, and it was far more than their monthly income, almost $1,500.
It also came with a bold lettered disconnection notice that said they had nine days left to pay.
My colleague Eli Saslow says that for the couple he met, Genia and Darryl, it's not just about the lights may be going off.
A disconnection would mean they also couldn't run the oxygen machine or the CPAP they depend on. Eli says he saw how the couple tried to limit their electric bill by more or less moving their whole life into the living room where the AC is, hanging curtains from the doorways to keep the cool air in, sleeping there, eating there, but all that still wasn't enough.”
The couple tried to go to churches charity thrift shops, tried to get doctors notes, to help pay the bill, but everyone was overwhelmed by clients having the same issue, and facing having their electrical turned off.
The utility said they needed the higher rates to perform maintenance on their system, in part to keep up with increased demand coming from data centers:
“But the utility company in that part of Oklahoma, which is called PSO, says it's facing its own pressure.
The grid is old and needs updating. These hot summers also are straining electrical companies because they need to provide more power. And also, there are a huge number of what they call large load customers coming onto the grid.
These are new businesses and in some cases, new data centers for artificial intelligence that are going to increase the demand for electricity like never before.”
What an incredible and heartbreaking story about what regular Americans are facing.

@elisaslow I tried to message you, but you’re DMs are closed. If you could connect me with this couple, I would like to pay off their utility bill for them
It is very rare that mild mannered Kagan speaks out against the court. Wondering if she’s doing this because she knows what is coming their way after midterms.
“The liberal justice sharply criticized the conservative majority’s rulings this year limiting the Voting Rights Act and loosening campaign finance restrictions during a wide-ranging discussion at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She also faulted a 2019 decision removing the court from oversight of partisan gerrymandering.”

Someone, probably Donald Jr because he’s an insecure twat, had to push Trump to fire Guilfoyle. Because Alina Habba pocketed $50 MILLION for a pardon, and it’s crickets.
Stocks of crude oil in the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell to 282.7 million barrels last week, the lowest level since October 1982. Trump is drawing down to temporarily keep gas prices down ahead of midterms. Watch what happens after!
