I am a life-long huge HUGE fan of Eddie Deezen and it was a treat to meet him today and have him sign my VHS copy of SURF 2. He told me a super interesting story about Paul Williams gonging him on The Gong Show and later apologizing for it. Also, I was given contact for his management to discuss possible roles for him in future movie projects... so I had a big dumb grin on my face for an hour after. Eddie Deezen is seriously one of my favorite comic actors of all time and I hope I get to work with him one day. He (and I) will both be back at SC Horror Convention tomorrow. Come by and say hello!

I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong. I've been saying for 3 months that this guy was dead based on the news footage of him being wheeled out of his house in a non-urgent manner, as you would a corpse. And based on his three month absence from public view with only two rather dubious photos presented as "proof of life" and rather cagey answers the few times the press actually pushed. So now we see that he is indeed breathing, though he appears in a dazed and confused near-vegetative state. The press were forbidden from recording video of him. Who knows how long he was in a coma. All I know is that if I took a three month absence from my job I wouldn't have a job anymore.
