🚨Rare Serious, No Ragebait Jolly Tweet 🚨 While everyone is distracted by Worlds and speculating on which LCK team is going to win it, I am here speculating and distracted by the future of my org @_BulldogEsports We are 2-3 months from Winter Split 2027 starting for Tier 2, and I am still unsure if there will be a league for my team to compete in. 8 Months ago Leaguesgg went bust because of mismanagement by CEO Christian Henriksen and COO Mathias Horn. (We are still owed thousands from this, between all 10 teams and money owed to production and talent, the total number could be in six figures owed). Road of Legends TO GameWaves took over as interim TO for the remainder of 2026. Although it was not perfect, they did a good job of managing stepping in and managing the league in sustainable way. Riot announced in July they will be splitting the NLC into two distinct ERLs, one for Nordics and one for UK. The bid process for the UK has ended and we still have no idea who got it. @TheUKEL bid and Riot declined them, I know of one other bid that withdrew. The person who should be communicating with teams, Andrey Korshunov (Product Manager for ERLs/EMEA) has gone on annual leave/holiday. As an owner I would love to be able to start my 2027 planning, work out our split by split budget etc, instead we are stuck in this limbo because of the disregard and lack of professionalism that Riot shows towards their product. I'm hearing worrying rumours that to prop up LFL, Riot will be siphoning sponsorship money that was meant for other leagues to pay NEO to be TO. The one common denominator in all these issues is Riot and their lack of communication to teams. It is a continued trend within Tier 2 that teams and TOs will fund the scene at a loss because Riot refuses to fund it. Yet Riot are also the ones making major decisions without consulting the teams/TOs or giving proper notice. Artem Bykov and Chris Greeley will yap about "interesting developments in Tier 2" but will take no action. I think it is time we took the action into our own hands. There are 100+ teams in the ERLs right now. As one annoying and belligerent owner who likes to shitpost/ragebait, my voice does very little, however united we can pressure Riot in a way that no one individual could and achieve meaningful change in our dying scene. What I am proposing is something similar to European Club Association, which is recognised by UEFA and protects the interests of is 800+ members. I have a feeling if we (NLC owners) are being shafted by Riot, then the likelihood is they are treating other owners across the 13 ERLs the same.
