I believe the cost of elder and end of life care will be a defining political issue of the 2030s. Candidates looking to run in 2028 would be wise to have a plan for this before it bankrupts millions of families more than it already has. I will never forget having to do the math of how much longer my family could afford keep my father cared for as Parkinson’s took him. I know far too many people who have had to make that same calculation.
as a former intake coordinator, PLEASE do this. I know it sounds redundant but if I can minimize the amount of paperwork we have to do the day of your appointment, we will both be happy.
