We are fired up to add two new pitching coaches to the PCU staff! Justin Garza @justincgarza has been a training with us for the last 2+ years as a player and has recently retired from a 10 year pro career, including parts of 3 years in the big leagues with the Guardians, Red Sox, and Mets. Justin was drafted in the 8th round of the 2015 draft by the Indians (was also drafted in the 26th round out of HS by the Indians as well) out of Cal State Fullerton. At Fullerton, Garza was one of the top college arms in the country. In 2013, Garza was named a freshman All-American, 2nd Team Rawlings All-American, and big west pitcher of the year after going 12-0 with a 2.03 ERA in 115 innings with only 17 walks and 95 strikeouts! Justin finished his college career with a 21-7 record and a 2.64 ERA. We are beyond excited to have Justin mentoring and developing our pitchers at PCU! —- We also want to welcome Jackson Hicks @HawkHicks to the PCU family! Jackson has one of the more unique stories you’ll hear for a baseball career! Jackson was not heavily recruited out of high school and decided to go to the University of North Carolina and to play for the UNC club team. During his time there Jackson continued to develop and improve year after year. In 2021, he went to an independent league tryout in the USPBL. He was quickly signed by the Westside Wooly Mammoths. After posting a 2.16 ERA in 33 innings with 43 strikeouts, Jackson was signed by the Minnesota Twins. Jackson pitched in the Twins organization from 2021-2024 before needing Tommy John surgery. Jackson pitched the last 2 seasons in the frontier league with the Down East Bird Dawgs. I was fortunate enough to coach Jackson with the Twins from 2021-2023. He was by the far one of the hardest working players I had the privilege to coach. And I know he will take that same work ethic and drive to help our players get better and achieve their dreams. Pitching Coach “U” just got a lot better with these two guys! Interested in training with us in Phoenix or remote? DM us “training” to get started!

🚨New coach alert 🚨 Welcome Seth Conner to the PCU family! He will serve as our Lead Hitting Strategist for the PCU Dashboard! Seth was the MLB Assistant Hitting Coach for the Texas Rangers from 2022-2025. In 2023 the Rangers had the #1 offense in the A.L. that led to winning the World Series! Prior to the Rangers, I was fortunate enough to work alongside Seth in the Minnesota Twins organization in 2021. Before the Twins, Seth was a hitting coach in the LA Dodgers organization from 2018-2020. Seth’s first coaching job was as an assistant hitting coach in the Toronto Blue Jays organization at just 22 years old. Before getting into coaching, Seth was drafted as an infielder out of high school by the Toronto Blue Jays. Seth spent 5 seasons in the Blue Jays organization, reaching AA. We couldn’t be more excited to have Seth on our team helping all of your college programs improve their offense!
