Vote today. Vote for Canada.
Our hearts are with Wainwright, Canadian Armed Forces and their families following the news of a devastating incident at CFB Wainwright.
This news affects members of our military community as well as all of Alberta and Canada.
Thank you to the first responders and front line workers whose dedication is supporting those affected and their families and loved ones.

A serious incident creating a major fire has occurred at CFB Wainwright, in Alberta.
Our thoughts are with all the brave women and men affected.
We are working closely with the Government of Alberta and local authorities. Premier Smith and I are in close contact as are our relevant ministers and officials.

We are learning of a significant and tragic fire at CFB Wainwright today that is affecting many of our brave military personnel.
Alberta’s government is in close contact with the Government of Canada and Prime Minister Mark Carney as this situation evolves.
Thank you to the first responders and all those providing care and support to those affected.
Here’s one of the leaders of the separatist movement suggesting the Premier just randomly fire @JeromyYYC even though he was elected a year ago.
Who cares about democracy? Clearly not the separatists.
I’m no fan of @ABDanielleSmith these days… but firing @JeromyYYC would go a long way towards making her seem less weak.
The only question is would Mark Carney give her permission to do it given that Carney runs her.

Should Danielle Smith be able to order your local council to vote to approve rezoning for a massive AI data centre? And threaten to fire your democratically elected mayor if they vote against it? This latest provincial overreach isn't about density. It's about your legal right to a fair hearing.

With the latest provincial overreach, Danielle Smith is now ordering me how to vote at Calgary City Council. If I refuse, I risk losing my job. I want to work constructively with the province, even when we disagree. But we must be free to listen to residents and make fair decisions.

To say something so disrespectful about Senator Simons makes me think you’ve never actually met her @McAllisterBruce. This is a person who would occasionally be critical of me, but there is never any doubt that she wants what is best for Edmontonians, Albertans, and Canadians.
In 2013, columnist Paula Simons asked why Canada bothers with “an unelected upper house, full of entitled toffs who can’t be turfed.”
In 2026, Senator Paula Simons - unelected, Trudeau-appointed, paid nearly $200k a year by taxpayers until 2039 - calls it “truly vile” when Albertans put that same question on a ballot.
I guess appointment is a hell of a conversion experience. I think Charles Adler had the same conversion.
What’s actually vile is that she sits in that high chamber pretending to speak for Alberta. It is a joke to think Paula Simons represents the culture and can-do attitude of this province. The great majority of Albertans would never - that’s right, never - vote for her or her grifting pal Kris Wells to represent them anywhere. #ableg #cdnpoli
I rarely come on Twitter anymore because it’s a vile place now but we need to strive to be better. You need to set a high bar for decorum because if people like you and I won’t do it, then no one else will bother trying.
I’ve appreciated our in person interactions @McAllisterBruce but we need to make sure how we treat one another in person carries through to how we treat each other online, especially our treatment of women and people of colour who are disproportionately attacked online.
As a result of tonight’s storm, we are experiencing multiple power outages around the city and have crews working to restore service as quickly as possible. We are also experiencing high call volumes and intermittent issues with the outage map outages.epcor.com. We appreciate your patience as we answer calls and resolve technical issues as quickly as possible. #yeg
"The vast majority of Edmontonians don't want to separate"—@AndrewKnack is bringing forward a motion urging council to support a united Canada.
He wants to keep the issue front of mind & encourage Edmontonians to vote against separation this fall
