The grief never goes away. You learn to manage it but it never truly goes away
John Wall says he still texts his mother every morning and night and has continued to pay her phone bill to keep her number active since she passed away in 2019
“I made sure I paid the bill for that for the rest of the time I’m going to be on this earth, so I can send my daily text in the morning and my daily text at night”
“It helps me. I know she can’t respond, but I can still send my messages and know that nobody else has her number. And sometimes you have your moments when you just sitting at home and you just reflect”
“And I always look at pictures and reflect. My display screen on my phone is my first game against the Sixers, and we win the game and I give her a hug, and I always keep that as my bio picture”

Tyrann Mathieu GOES OFF on the Saints’ offensive line after their loss to the Steelers in Paris 😳
"For Christ’s sake, I took a pay cut three years in a row so they could find a way to pay offensive linemen that don’t block, who don’t make a difference... 17 runs, 18 yards. I don’t care if you’re playing backyard football, that's not a recipe for success."

"I'm hesitant to say it in this manner, but I don't think those boys are playing as hard as they can for Kellen Moore. I really don't see it."

There’s been plenty of discussion around the league about All-NBA defender Herb Jones’ limited minutes to start the season. @PelicansNBA head coach Jamahl Mosley says getting Jones more playing time is a priority moving forward. #nba #pelicans #sports #neworleans #notonherb

It’s clear as day this isn’t Jamahl Mosley’s call.
A defensive minded coach not playing an All NBA defender?
How about the FO worry about the roster construction and let the coaches deal with the lineup?

Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

Dammit, man. Dammit. Don’t do this, Pels. You already took Jrue, Josh, Naji, and Jose from me. Stop trading my favorite players. Dammit.

Watched this discussion closely today. Never got the sense that Herb Jones’ time in New Orleans is limited. Felt more like it was a pep talk I’ve witnessed numerous times between player and coach/front office member over the years.

When Herb Jones gets traded to OKC he’ll never get called for a foul again.
He’s either telling him he’s about to be on the move or that he’s getting more minutes finally
