Right, let's see how we can parse this sentence.
Option 1, replace "vowels" with "A, E, I, O, U". "D, G and vowels" then becomes "D, G and A, E, I, O, U". I don't think I can parse this; I don't think it makes grammatical sense.
They gave 10 as the answer but it’s 13. The word “a” only contains the letter d, g, a, e, I, o and u.
If it has to contain all the letters then it’s zero!

I showed a clean copy of this question to my wife (without the answers highlighted). She looked at it for 3 or 4 seconds and said "I'm passing; it's ambiguous whether the word a should be counted."
I saw someone in the velvet range of Aston merch at Silverstone, having not seen any advertising about it before the race.
