When Colin and I started at the N&O, it provided hyperlocal papers to nearly every Triangle town *for FREE* twice a week:
The Cary News, the Chapel Hill News, the Clayton News-Star, the Eastern Wake News... just to name a few.
They're gone now and our communities are worse off.

I stand with Israel and strongly condemn the horrific attacks being perpetrated by Hamas and others. This violence is unthinkable and must be stopped. My heart is with the people of Israel and all North Carolinians with family and friends there.
I have directed the Department of Public Safety to take action to support security at houses of worship as needed as we remain vigilant against any potential threats here in North Carolina. - RC

Bottled water cost is astounding when you think of how much you’re paying for production and distribution compared to the water itself. It’s even more shocking when you consider the detrimental effects it has on the environment

I’m sitting in the ICU because my kid just tried to end her life for the 3rd time in 2 years. Ask me if I care about banning books and pride flags. Ask me if I care about litter boxes that don’t exist at school. I just want my kid to survive long enough to graduate. That’s all.

With the Monkeypox outbreak, it's critical we must start with the data. The data tell us that anyone can get this virus, but nearly all cases in NC & the US are in men - & more specifically men who have sex with men. And it's disproportionately affecting Black men.
