Im currently on my Defence medical leadership practice Pg Dip, recently i had to produce an arts piece as an artefact. This is an arts based approach to transformative learning for our transformative leadership module. I hadn’t painted since my art degree and joining the army.

Thoughts of what it meant to be to be a nursing officer and how my own values and behaviours have changed. Best comment so far was dont give up your day job 🤣 but thats what art is, its subjective.

Remembering Matty Ingold & Des Duckett. Everyone who remembers these 2 will agree they were 2 of the funniest lads ever and constantly raising morale! Taken far too early. And missed every day

Foo Fighters performed "Paranoid" last night with Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath in Birmingham! How lucky we are to keep seeing these reunions between rock legends.

Nursing and the Armed Forces Community | Royal College of Nursing Fantastic article by ⁦@afinneganchest1⁩ discussing military nursing as a vital but often overlooked area of the nursing profession. ⁦@DMS_MilMed⁩ ⁦@DMS_JHG_SW⁩ rcn.org.uk/news-and-events/B…

ALIEN was released 45 years ago today. One of the definitive science fiction/horror movies, and among Ridley Scott’s best, the behind-the-scenes story is like the perfect organism… 1/39

Sent a few days on my first battlefield tour over last weekend. I was very humbled to be in the presence of all these graves and memorials for those missing, injured or buried. Even moreso as i produced a speech about Captain Noel Chavasse RAMC VC with bar, MC.

And finally i need to dig around on the family tree as we only know about my great grandad being part of WWII and no known WWI active duty family members.

A real privilege to lay a wreath at the Menin Gate with @ArmyMedServices Entry Officers Course 24/2. Thank you @lastpostieper for all that you do. What a great experience for me and more importantly the #NextGen of UK Army Medical leaders. #MakingTheBestBetter
