They do not have the time to delve further into Magic Candy bc the Soul Jams are there for a limited time. Like he isn't even mean about the firing, he just says 'I respect we aren't seeing eye to eye, thank you for the work you've done till now, but you're off the project'

This is my interpretation, but it's twofold with Pavlova because I think he's in a catch-22 situation because he wants Sugarfly to be free but that means her leaving him! I think he's rude to her because he wants Sugarfly to react and get fed up and leave!

ES and Pavlova are very different when it comes to Hollyberry and Sugarfly in their words vs their intentions. ES uses sweet words but is cruel in wanting to trap Hollyberry by her side. Pavlova in this take has harsh words out of a desire to see Sugarfly free and not hypnotized.
