Not that long ago, Catholic children were forced to play Gaelic games... They weren't allowed to play soccer... "English" games were forbidden... Sad really...

These girls are wearing modesty dress designed to prevent them from being sexually attractive to the adult males. Just think about that.
No religion values the girl child like Islam does. Islam gave girls the right to live, to be loved, to be educated, to inherit and to be treated with dignity in a world that once buried baby girls alive. A girl's birth is not a shame. She is a blessing.

The Handmaid’s Tale is fiction for you. For us, it’s real life. In Poland, I spoke about the victims of Auschwitz and the people massacred by the Islamic Republic in Iran. History teaches us what happens when the world looks away. We must remember the victims, confront tyranny, and refuse to let another massacre be met with silence. #Iran

And there was me thinking the poppy is worn because of the First World War not WW2, but the poppy has been appropriated by racists up and down the country to the point that I now refuse to wear one.

When the British sought to end the slave-trade in the 19th century, African rulers resisted. The Asante Kingdom, in what is now Ghana, was a major participant in the West African slave trade, including the transatlantic trade. The ancestors of the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, who is LEADING the campaign for reparations from Britain, were probably slave-owners. I am not saying this facetiously; it is what the history suggests (thank you @NigelBiggar)

Absolutely incredible newsism here. The 26-year-old Moroccan rapist is somehow younger than his 22-year-old victim.

Except Israel isn't a rogue state. It's a modern, democracy that allows religious and civic freedoms that none of its neighbours permit.
The mockery of British elected representatives being detained by a rogue state is disgraceful. Whatever your politics, this should be a matter of principle. Israel must not be allowed to act with impunity. I hope our government condemns this in the strongest possible terms.

There is nothing socialist about a system of free movement that is used by multi-nationals to undermine wages. WATCH my Brexit speech today.

Pretty sure the poppy is worn to remember those who fought both Nazism and fascism.
I suspect they do not want a load of drunken nazis in their pub. They have other customers to think of.

Would you let your 16-year-old daughter walk around a market in Nigeria, Morocco or Tunisia on her own? No. Nobody would. Not even the most open-border liberal. So why can't we have that same honest conversation at home?
