all of these news about ea coming out recently - not like we didn't know about their (mis)management before - it feels like a flood after bioware's shutdown. personally, i think ea didn't realize it would backfire this much lol.
hopefully more of the devs & workers speak up in the near future.

Radio silence from @EA speaks volumes! Make no mistake they hear us they've seen the hashtags they've seen the petition and the billboard they've seen the endless #SaveMassEffect posts on any X post they make don't give them a second to breathe! #MassEffect is ours not theirs!

What to do When the Petition Slows: A Thread™
TLDR: The #SaveMassEffect petition WILL slow with time; but as seen with Destiny, that's normal; petitioning EA has to be a multilayered approach.
1.) The petition will slow with time; that's normal.

Holy shit. Not surprising at all but still, holy shit
After more EA layoffs last week, a new report cites workers at the company complaining of "terrible" morale and "heavily pushed" generative AI like Claude. One called EA "a cold dead place that's slowly decaying as leadership pilfers every last cent." destructoid.com/ea-workers-c…

This kind of post shouldn't be necessary, it should never be about credit or fame, but about ensuring the Franchise continues and isn't just locked away and Forgotten with time, Personally until we get the game I will never feel like I had any victory, just doing the job.
// I’m getting a bit concerned by the clout chasing around #SaveMassEffect. Fighting over credit and who gets to be the face of it misses the point. This movement belongs to the entire community that made it happen. Please put the fans and devs ahead of followers, likes and egos.

Mass Effect and BioWare's ips deserve better than to be trapped in this company's vault.

It honestly boggles my mind and I fail to see how people can see #SaveMassEffect as a bad thing.
Excuse us for being sad after having a new entry dangled in front of us only for EA to go "lol j/k nevermind enjoy us putting it all in the vault only to trot it out for sports gear"

ALT A cropped screenshot from the 2020 teaser trailer for The Next Mass Effect. In a close up shot, Liara is wearing a dark hood with a desolate snow planet in the background. The curve of a planet can be seen in the sky as the sun hangs low on the out of focus horizon, casting a bright lens flare across the screen. There are hazy shapes of people and buildings nearby. Liara is smiling warmly.

I don’t believe Devs leaked that video online for any other reason than to light a fire. It was not posted as a farewell to the game. It was posted to inspire action. #SaveBioWare #SaveMassEffect
