The character that was only introduced in the sequel as damage control because of how incredibly misogynist the first film was

xQc goes off on Pokimane for larping as part of the people protesting in France 😳🇫🇷 "You don't live there... it's not even close to your neighbourhood! You speak a little French, you're Moroccan, this is France, how are you related? Who are you? She's super performative."

had to explain the concept of Bakery Pizza to a disgusted friend from new jersey

Can’t speak on Crystal Lake because I haven’t seen it yet but I think Carrie (1976) accomplished this much better than the new show. All the carnage in the new show isn’t even caused by Carrie, it’s caused by some random girl who astral projects into Carries body.
Both CARRIE and CRYSTAL LAKE prove that sometimes the real horror lies in how a monster is created. One shows the devastating consequences of bullying, humiliation and abuse through Carrie White, while the other explores Jason Voorhees’ childhood and the trauma surrounding his transformation. Two different outcomes of cruelty, but equally disturbing. Which series did you like more, and which one do you think handled its horror and storytelling better?

The new Carrie series is much more of a teen drama than a horror story. Although it’s entertaining it kinda misses the point of what makes Carrie interesting.

If you tell me “media literacy” is a buzzword I’m immediately assuming you’re an anti intellectual dumbass

“the show was built purely out of spite for, in this case, rorschach and fans of rorschachs character.” motherfucker that’s the original book
Watchmen (2019) frustrates me to no end in the same way The Boys does. It had endless potential to be one of THE defining pieces of TV. But all of that meant nothing when the show was built purley out of spite for, in this case, Rorschach and fans of Rorschachs character.

Because his comedy is high art
I’ve just learnt that this Nathan Fielder guy isn’t someone who makes high art & typically makes awkward comedy shows, so can a white person tell me why he’s so praised before I get into his stuff

Maybe don’t just post pictures of random queer teens for your pointless discourse? Like this is a real person that you’re debating the identity of over something as inconsequential as clothing.
