In college, an advisor told @AnnCodes "CS may not be the career" for her. He spurred her to drop out of the program. At age 36 she tried coding again. It turns out she's quite good at it. She now works as a software engineer. Her full #DevAfter30 story: forum.freecodecamp.org/t/how…

How I (Finally) Learned to Code and Switched Careers at 37

Hey all! It’s been a while since I’ve been back here but I want to jump in and thank Quincy, FCC, and all you wonderful people that work so hard to help students along the way. Why? Because I am now...

Anyone have to 2FA sign on like 10x every morning to get on their work tools? This gal does!

Install-fest on the first day at the new job. I feel like I've had to do this for work laptops like every 6 months 💩 Why is it so tiring?

Never in a million years would I ever think I’d be in a multiple offer situation and have companies fight for me with their $. It was so stressful juggling all the interviews and then BAM. When it rains, it pours. Absolutely wild.

Besides the various prepping, a dumb trick to my interview success? Power poses before the interview and listening to the following right before them to GET HYPE youtube.com/watch?v=vkOJ9uNj…

So ugh... yeah. That's why I've been absent from social media if you're wondering. Baby angel And for devs that have a bit of experience, the hiring market is going absolutely bonkers right now. Huge demand and pay is up across the board. It's a good time to look.

Also does the red delete button (in whatever env of choice) also scare the bejeezus out of anyone else? What if I trip and fall and accidentally click delete? Will it prompt me if I am sure?

Whoops, brought down a test server. I hope no one notices while I redeploy 😅

Am I the only person out there who cannot finish a personal page because I get stuck deciding on colors and icons? Like, I want them ALL. #DevLife

In #React, what is a pure component? I only use functional components and hooks, does it matter to know this outside of a #TechnicalInterview setting?
