📉 Samaritans in Crisis! Volunteers Threaten Exodus Over Branch Closures! 😡
Oh blimey, it’s kicking off at the Samaritans! With plans to close over 100 branches, volunteers are ready to pack their bags and leave, fearing it’ll hit the charity’s ability to help those in need. If you think remote working is the answer, just wait until you’re fielding calls in your pajamas at 3 AM. Not quite the same, is it?

Samaritans are feeling disillusioned and angry about proposed changes to the service. Ironically they are not being listened to or heard by leaders in the organisation which offers a listening service for those in distress 🥲 bbc.com/news/articles/c931w3…

Listen to the people who do the job. Theorising without experience doesn't make for good outcomes.

Yesterday I was on BBC Radio Scotland to discuss survey results that showed two thirds of girls changed their daily behaviour due to sexual harassment. A man then texted in to say that schoolgirls shouldn’t wear short skirts if they don’t want to be harassed. Unbelievable.

It's extraordinary watching Labour MPs collectively decide that Jeremy Corbyn and Zack Polanski have to be stopped.
While allowing Nigel Farage to gently coast on by.

Literally no writers have filled a single slot yet. What’s going on?
I dunno, maybe people think they’ll get expert readers to read and give feedback for free next month
Babe, are you out of your mind? Not gonna happen. Trust me

And Santa outfits. Ban Santa outfits. They're un-British (they're German). They intimidate kids, and they're fire-traps. Unsafe. And suggest that it's only men who are the source of presents. We don't need a debate, we need a ban.

Not that I think this should even matter but, to look at the facts, the amount of trans women registered to play football in England is smaller than your average classroom. None are pro. They’ve found places that accept them so why make this move? Makes me incredibly sad

The rights of trans people do not conflict with the rights of lesbians.
It’s why polling shows that, more than any group, lesbians and bisexual women are supportive of the trans community.
Our community’s liberation is bound together.

It really does sum up how seriously TERFs take their "feminist" cosplay to see Owen Jones called "woman-hater" for mentioning issues that actually meaningfully effect women rather than a hate crusade that only fulfils the desires of a handful of hyper wealthy bigots and bullies.

Like most women, I've not been hassled, molested, or abused by a trans person. I cannot say the same thing of straight cis men. Any demographic can commit abuse, certainly, but the stats are not on cis men's side. Some of them do 'protest too much' about 'women's safety'.
Reposting this in light of the terrible Supreme Court judgement. Solidarity with trans women.
