Dear followers, when you see hostile comments deriding young Israelis for singing about peace in a music festival, please follow my example and block these accounts. We need every ounce of hope and positive vibes as our election date draws closer. ❤️‍🩹
Indinegev music festival. These young people traveled via the Nova massacre site to pay their respects. The festival ended with the “Song for Peace”, a protest song written after the 1967 Six Days war. Rabin sang it minutes before he was murdered. These young energies are our hope.

Right now, on the streets of Munich and other cities, people are calling for support for freedom in Iran. We saw it. Ukraine does not share a border with Iran. We’ve never had a conflict of interest with the Iranian regime. But the Iranian Shahed drones they sold to Russia are killing our people and destroying our infrastructure. The Iranian regime has already done – and can still do – more harm than many other regimes could do in a century. And yet this regime still exists. And it hopes to survive everything – even this crisis. Today, the people of Iran expect from the world what we in Ukraine needed on February 24, when the Russian invasion began – unity, determination, and speed. Of course, speed. Speed in support. And regimes like the one in Iran must not be given time. When they have time, they only kill more. They must be stopped immediately. And this is exactly what should have happened with the Ayatollah – after all the wars his regime unleashed and all the lives it took – and with Putin as well: after the war in Georgia, after Syria, after 2014 and the occupation of Crimea.

Messages from #Iran. “They killed the injured who had survived and were operated in the hospitals. They cleared the hospitals and shot the injured.” “Doctors and medical students: try to gather and form medical committees. There’s still a huge number of injured who cannot be treated in hospitals. If you are abroad, then help these committees financially so that they can work.” “I am grieving, but I am proud to be Iranian. I am proud of this historical and geographical moment in which I live. I am proud to coexist with people who risk their lives for collective freedom, and who, when they emerge alive from this horrifying situation, write of days of enforced silence: ‘We are ashamed to continue breathing in the absence of our comrades’. This level of magnanimity is astonishing, and I am hopeful for the future.” “Those who could be released on extremely high bail had been tortured severely. They were told to say ‘where’s the Shah, where’s Trump, will they come and save you”. There is anger in the city of Mashhad, and it could erupt at any moment, even without a call, in the coming weeks...” “We who stayed here and survived are only physically alive but our souls have gone. Only hope has not died. Our hope has kept us upright. Long live the courageous people of Iran!” “I am Nishapur after the storm of the Mongols. I am the twilight of Halabja after Saddam´s chemical attack. I am Homs after Assad´s barrel bombs. I am Tripoli after Gaddafi’s rage. I am Iran after the bloodshed of the month of Dey.” “Who would have thought that the weight of shame of those having survived feels so heavy!” “I cannot use any word to describe what has happened. No word can describe this crime.” “The Iranian people taught the world what the true meaning of a people is” “I am burying the corpse of the person I was two weeks ago” “I am thinking of all the prisoners. Today one of my relatives went to see her brother. She said his face and body were full of bruises and wounds. They had injected the prisoners with something so that they all become numb and feel giddy” “I could only connect to the net with endless misery. Just to see that the Iranian right and left are still arguing. I shit on your idiotic arguments. They killed our people. And you are still caught up with this bullshit” “A friend got connected and sent voice messages from Central Iran. We both cried and cried. He said that ‘the crime that has taken place is beyond what we’ve seen from the Islamic State or in Hollywood movies, and beyond what we imagine violence to be. One of those pictures that will stay with me was the severing of both legs of a fellow citizen by a Winchester firearm, with no possibility of helping or moving him because of the massive amount of blood lost. We are going through the darkest days. Death to a government that butchers people like this.’” “Hi Mr. Azimi, they killed them all. I am from Semnan. There were never any protests in my city, not even in 2022. It’s a small city and people are full of fear. But on January 8 and 9, more than 20 000 people were in the streets. They killed and wounded all of them. I saw it with my own eyes. They killed all of them. Please be our voice.”
