They’re now vaccinating kids while they’re under anesthesia. Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has a program literally called “Close Your Eyes, We’ll Immunize.” They give flu shots to sedated kids during unrelated procedures. Lurie Children’s in Chicago and other hospitals are doing the same thing. They already delivered over 2,000 doses this season at CHOP alone and say they want to expand to COVID, RSV, and more. An anesthesiologist who trained at CHOP called it “stunningly irresponsible.” If a kid spikes a fever or breaks out in a rash under anesthesia, is it the vaccine, the anesthesia, the antibiotic, or something else? They’re introducing a new risk that has nothing to do with the surgery, on purpose. Parents are being asked while their kid is about to go under. That’s not full informed consent. That’s pressure.
