Today we welcomed @NRCgov leaders Mike King, Executive Director for Operations; Jeremy Bowen, Director of the Division of Advanced Reactors and Non-Power Production & Utilization Facilities; and Kenneth Armstrong, Acting Deputy Director of the Division of Systems Analysis in the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research, to Antares Prime.
We appreciate the NRC's leadership and support for microreactor regulatory frameworks. Antares recognizes the value of early and sustained pre-application engagement with the NRC.
As we advance toward commercial microreactor deployment in the coming years, that engagement is foundational to a predictable, efficient licensing process.
We were proud to walk through our factory floor, where test stands are running, heat pipes are in development, and Mark-1 is coming together.
Factory-built microreactors break the mold of traditional nuclear, and deploying at scale requires a licensing path that fits the technology. The NRC's work on Part 57 is a real step in that direction.
With regulators and developers working closely together, the industry is moving faster without compromising safety.

With signed enrichment agreements with @urencoglobal, @generalmatter, and @centrus_energy, we have secured the initial feedstock supply needed to deploy reactors for our defense and commercial customers, and have established one of the most diversified fuel supply chains in the advanced reactor industry.
“What’s new is an ecosystem that allowed a company like Antares to unlock private capital, to build nuclear hardware, and turn on a prototype in months, not years.”
Our chief nuclear officer, Dr. Rian Bahran, joined @AtlanticCouncil 's Nuclear Energy Policy Summit. See more:
Antares is delivering nuclear energy to space. Our chief nuclear officer, Dr. Rian Bahran, recently joined Fox Big Weekend Show to discuss how Antares is innovating to power critical missions on Earth and in space.

Twenty years ago, Dr. Rian Bahran graduated with a nuclear engineering degree and a promise of a nuclear renaissance. It didn't come. Today, it's a build schedule.
In a new piece for the ANS Nuclear News, our Chief Nuclear Officer lays out how we got here: the arc from Fermi's first criticality in 1942, through two decades of stalled promise, to the three shifts that finally lined up at the same time:
- Demand is real and broad. AI is the headline, but critical infrastructure, defense, and space need firm, resilient power.
- Government has become a partner across the full ecosystem.
- Capital is following American nuclear innovation.
The physics was never the hard part. What's left is delivery, and Rian makes the case that this year's wave of first criticalities, including our Mark-0 on June 4, proves hardware is finally moving.

This why @AntaresNuclear is building reactors for strategic energy. It's a multi-domain problem. You need nuclear power in cislunar space and on the seabed to do anything of significance.
NEW: @thejointstaff Chairman & @USSpaceForce leaders say U.S. troops need to be ready to fight outside of Earth around the moon.
Caine today - “…the Joint Force is prepared to fight, endure, and win, in global contested environments, from the seabed to cislunar space.”

The American energy industry is on the verge of calamity.
For the last 20 years, energy growth has flatlined while hundreds of power plants were retired. Power bills are up 29% since 2019. In July, the Department of Energy declared a “power emergency” for 67 million people.
America almost solved this problem 50 years ago: via nuclear power. Then, in pursuit of maximum safetyism, we choked it off.
The Department of Energy’s @SecretaryWright told us, “the nuclear industry started out with a bang, got smothered by the government… and now has been bottled up and pushed away.”
One industry insider said: “You weren’t allowed to say the word ‘nuclear’ in the Biden administration for the first few years.”
Now, thanks to the efforts of less than 40 government employees — and an historic collaboration between career civil servants and DOGE — we’re turning the tide. On July 4th, four companies took nuclear reactor designs “critical” (i.e., tested them), setting us on a path toward a nuclear renaissance.
Here, the exclusive story of how this happened, featuring interviews with Energy Secretary Chris Wright (@SecretaryWright), Adam Blake (@adamblake), Seth Cohen (@OverReactor1776), Rian Bahran at the Department of Energy, and Stephen Miller’s deputy, Emily Underwood (@emundz42).
It may take time to notice the effects in your power bill. But the decades of stagnation, fear, and absurd overregulation that have plagued nuclear for the last half-century are now (thankfully) over.
