73 balls. London. One golden moment.
We drove the balls representing Harry Kane’s goals for club and country to London, gifting them to former teammates, people from his hometown, and the places that shaped his journey – from the streets where he grew up to his former clubs, as well as the heart of London City.
All leading up to one golden moment last night.
Harry, we’re incredibly proud of you. Here’s to everything we’ve achieved together – and everything still to come. ❤️🤍
💣A year ago today, Celtic imploded…
📈Just a few months after a double-winning season, making it four titles in a row and taking Bayern Munich all the way in the Champions League knockouts, the club ended up in crisis.
👋Manager Brendan Rodgers walked out on the club after a row with principal shareholder Dermot Desmond, sending shockwaves across world football.
😮Club legend Martin O'Neill, who had been a pundit for the last six years and is now 74 years old, took the reins temporarily in yet another surprise development to this incredible story.
⚡️But how did Celtic get into such a situation, and what happened next?

🚨 Exclusive interview with Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane.
I’ve watched this guy from a very young age. He’s a role model, family first, polite, humble & a credit to his country. Left his boyhood club after countless individual honours. Club honours have followed but now holds the biggest individual honour there is. 🏆

Ooh look at me, I'm Real Madrid and I've won a million Champions Leagues. Grow up.
In the summer it was revealed that Celtic had finalised a long-term strategy "to be the best club in Scotland, to be financially sound and to compete in Europe".
Is this anything different to what it was before? Aren't there specific targets to reach in the #UEL that are different from the #UCL? Success becomes subjective if the generic message is just to "compete".
Unless the club are automatically in the Champions League they don't seem to invest for Europe.
When they were knocked out UCL play-offs to LASK Linz, spending basically stopped - just Joel van den Berg was bought. The rest of the squad was patched up by loans and one free transfer.
They haven't 'competed' in the Europa League/UEFA Cup for 22 years, when they last won a knockout tie. This is a tournament where Celtic do have the financial muscle to go far in, but they don't really push the boat out on signings if they're out of the UCL.
While success in the UCL can be measured by getting out of the League Phase, the target should be different for the Europa League - not the same.
Two seasons ago Celtic were in the knockouts of the UCL, last season it was the knockouts of the UEL and this season they are on course to not make it out of the UEL League Phase - this is constant regression.
Celtic need a long-term strategy that puts European football - and specific targets to monitor success in it - at the forefront of everything they do, before they become a total nonentity outside of Scotland.

The Business, Innovation, Science and Trade Committee is today publishing a letter from the Financial Reporting Council re Manchester City.
The FRC has now confirmed it is examining Manchester City’s audit - but the regulator's letter exposes gaps in its ability to compel evidence from the club and pursue directors who fall outside its disciplinary rules.
This raises serious questions about the powers available to hold companies and directors to account.
The Government has a responsibility to explain why reforms to close these gaps were abandoned - and what will now be done to strengthen accountability.

Cristiano Ronaldo submitted his CV as part of his response to the Potuguese FA’s charge for leaving the national team camp after a row with coach Jorge Jesus.
@SkySportsNews has obtained the full ruling of the federation’s disciplinary council, which has ordered the Al Nassr forward to serve a 30-day suspension. It also imposed a fine of £214 (€255) - a sum that Ronaldo makes in just 39 seconds.
Ronaldo submitted a 2,000-word statement to be considered as mitigating circumstances, along with his CV.
The ruling states: “In relation to the mitigating circumstances of having rendered significant services to football and receiving recognition for sporting merit, the defendant Cristiano Ronaldo submitted his sporting CV, including the awards and honours he received during his career (pages 126 to 128 of the case file).”
